ATLANTA — If you’re a college football fan counting down the days until Labor Day weekend kicks off the college football season, well, we’ve got some good news for you.
Channel 2 is the place to be this weekend if you want to catch the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Oregon Ducks at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, September 3 at 3:30 p.m., the kick-off game of the Chick-fil-A pits the defending College Football Playoff champions against one of the best teams in the country.
An additional scenario – Oregon head coach Dan Lanning was Georgia’s defensive coordinator last season. It will only be the second time that the two schools will face each other on the football pitch.

The game headlines an ABC/ESPN doubleheader. Game 2 will feature Notre Dame vs. Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio.
The action on ABC and Channel 2 wraps up Sunday night when Florida State travels to Baton Rouge to play LSU.
The full schedule of matches that will be on TV this season has yet to be released.
We’re still about 14 weeks away from College Football’s opening weekend, so there’s plenty of time for the excitement to build. This year will be the first time in more than four decades that Georgia enters the season as defending champions.
The Bulldogs are returning QB Stetson Bennett and a host of offensive and defensive players despite a record 15 players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
