Georgia Football: Penn State Football’s Joshua Miller Flips

Amid the most important recruiting month of this offseason, programs across the country are working hard to attract as many of the nation’s top prospects to college campuses this month.

With the ever-changing outlook on how business is conducted in the recruiting industry, coaches are starting to notice that summer visits are the new normal in college football. Without the stress and time commitment of the regular season, coaches can spend more time recruiting talent and spending time with them on campus.

The work of Georgia’s coaching staff is already paying off as the Bulldogs knocked down Penn State’s Joshua Miller. Miller, a current three-star according to 247Sports’ talent composite, signed to the Nittany Lions in December 2021.

After a visit to Athens, Ga., in June, offensive line coach Stacy Searels landed the Colonial Heights, Va. native’s verbal commitment. At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Miller projects as an inside lineman to the next level. He joins Bo Hughley and RyQueze McElderry as the only three offensive linemen currently committed to Georgia’s Class of 2023.

Sources tell Dawgs Daily on that it was Miller’s development over the past offseason that sealed Georgia’s pursuit of him. Miller is said to have lost nearly 30 pounds between visits to the classic city.
