Brazilian defender Marcelo has been kicked out of Lyon’s first team for his unprofessional behavior.
In a unique development, a Ligue 1 footballer has been left out of the first team after farting and laughing nonstop in the dressing room. Yes, you read correctly. Brazilian defender Marcelo Antonio Guedes Filho has been kicked out of Lyon’s first team for his unprofessional behaviour.
According to a report by ESPNthe defender was expelled from the senior squad following Lyon’s 3-0 thrashing against Angers last August.

The defender was caught laughing, while captain Leo Dubois tried to rally the team with a speech. His actions did not go down well with manager Peter Bosz and sporting director Juninho, and were later dropped from the first team.
However, according to new developments, sources revealed to ESPN that the Brazilian was sanctioned by the club for repeatedly farting in the locker room.
Marcelo was projected as a leader by Lyon and also signed a new contract ahead of the 2021-22 season, but his actions after the loss to Angers have been branded as ‘inappropriate behaviour’.
The defender’s stay at Lyon quickly came to an end, with his contract being terminated in January, following which he joined Bordeaux.
Bordeaux are currently placed at the bottom of the points table. Lyon, on the other hand, rank eighth.
