Kuwait: Burgan Bank has successfully concluded its sponsorship of the first Under-18 Football League for young women, organized under the supervision of the Women’s Committee of the Kuwait Football Association and in cooperation with Eighty Percent, the sports management. The closing ceremony took place on the grounds of the Abdul Rahman Al-Bakr Stadium in Al-Adailiya, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Federation, Fatema Hayat, Member of the board of directors and head of the women’s sports committee, and Kholoud Al-Feeli, head of the communications and public relations department of Burgan Bank. The Juventus Academy team were crowned league champions, followed by the Union of Schools and Higher Education team in second place and the El-Ayoun Girls Club young women’s team ranked third.
Commenting on the first youth women’s football league, Ms. Kholoud Al-Feeli, Head of Communications and Public Relations Department of Burgan Bank, explained that Burgan Bank’s slogan “Driven By You” and the slogan of the Young Women’s League, “You are the future” aligns with their goals and future prospects for young people who represent the future of Kuwait.
